Meet Tracie Meyer, Board Certified Nurse Practitioner & ADHD Specialist
Hello! My name is Tracie Meyer, and I am a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with over two decades of experience in healthcare. My clinical background includes over 14 years experience in Internal Medicine, gaining invaluable experience as an expert clinician in diagnosis and long-term care of complex conditions, with advanced knowledge of pharmacological management. Prior to my experience as a nurse practitioner, I worked as a registered nurse for 9 years between the ICU and ER. These positions involved caring for patients with acute mental health emergencies, working together with Center of Hope and Inpatient Psychiatry.
My passion for ADHD care is deeply personal. As a mother of two sons with ADHD, I saw firsthand the challenges of navigating the healthcare system—from pediatricians and psychologists to therapists and school systems. This experience, which ultimately led to my own late-in-life ADHD diagnosis, revealed the critical need for more dedicated ADHD specialists.
Determined to fill this gap, I pursued advanced training in ADHD diagnosis and management. What does it mean to become an ADHD Specialist? There is just not enough training in medical school or advance practice nursing programs to have an in depth knowledge of ADHD or medical management for the disorder. To me, becoming a specialist has meant spending over a thousand hours in continuing education focusing on ADHD for over 6 years, obtaining certification through PESI as an ADHD Specialist, and participating in specialized training with WatersEdge Psychiatry in Dallas Texas. Through this extensive training and personal experience, I am able to guide children and adults through the complexities of ADHD with gold standard testing practices, and evidence based treatment strategies. I am committed to providing comprehensive, personalized care that goes beyond simple medication management to include supportive ADHD coaching and a holistic understanding of your needs.
I am here to help you or your child find clarity and support on your ADHD journey. Let's connect to create a treatment plan that works for you.
