What is ADHD?

ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects the brain’s executive functioning and self-management systems. It is not a behavioral disorder or mental illness. ADHD impacts approximately 11% of children and nearly 5% of adults. While there is no cure, symptoms can improve significantly with proper treatment.

No referral is necessary! Simply book an appointment for your initial consultation.

Can I get both tested and treated for ADHD?

Yes! Your initial consultation includes:
✔ A comprehensive ADHD evaluation
Screening for other commonly associated disorders
Screening for potential learning disabilities

Does ADHD Life Medical Associates only treat ADHD?

No. In addition to ADHD, we also treat Depression and Anxiety, which often mimic or coexist with ADHD. We provide comprehensive screenings for other conditions and collaborate closely with The Marriage and Family Clinic to offer counseling and ancillary services, many of which are available in-house. We are also in the process of expanding our practice to include care for more complex psychiatric disorders.

Does ADHD Life Medical Associates work with schools?

Yes! We offer guidance on 504 Plans and IEPs when appropriate. Our support includes:
Education on 504 and IEP plans
Recommendations for working with teachers and counselors
Developing an at-home support plan

Not all students with ADHD require these accommodations, as many teachers already implement class-wide strategies to improve focus and retention. Ultimately, final determinations on 504 and IEP plans are made by the school administration after reviewing input from teachers, parents, counselors, and clinical providers.

What is your Cancelation policy?

We require 24-hour notice for cancellations. If you do not cancel in advance, a $75 fee will be charged.
